He retired as the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh (Executive head of the state). Established leader, with extensive experience of administration cutting across a wide variety of sectors concerned with economics, finance, education, urban development, industrial governance, district administration, and others. An established thought leader and public speaker, he has given talks at various educational and business forums such as Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), Lucknow Management Association, and many more. Author of four books, he also writes articles for the leading national publications such as Economic Times, Business Standard, Hindustan Times, The Pioneer and ET Government. He writes a fortnightly column for The Millennium Post.
