He retired as the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh (Executive head of the state). Established leader, with extensive experience of administration cutting across a wide variety of sectors concerned with economics, finance, education, urban development, industrial governance, district administration, and others. An established thought leader and public speaker, he has given talks at various educational and business forums such as Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), Lucknow Management Association, and many more. The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is a nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS).
